Maras - Moray (approximately 120 km.)
We’ll leave Cusco heading northeast and pass through the towns of Poroy, Cachimayo and Chinchero before taking a detour to Maras where we can visit the salt mines as well as the archeological complex of Moray. Series of concentric terraces that were used by the Incas to develop and test crops can be seen in this area. We will travel on to visit Lake Huaypo before returning to Cusco.Difficulty Level: 1 and 2
Roads: Some ashfalt and some dirt
Principle points of interest: Beautiful scenery and archeological ruins.
